Join Us in Turning Hope into Action: Help Us Launch Our Lifesaving Mission!

Arella is launching its mission to support survivors, and we need your help to get started!

We’re seeking
$1,000 in pre-seed funding to secure our nonprofit status and cover essential startup costs. This initial support will help us build a community where survivors can come together and create a brighter future.

Please note that donations during this initial phase
will be retroactively tax-deductible once we obtain our nonprofit status. We also respect all requests for anonymity.

To ensure your contribution goes directly to our cause without deductions, we’re using Venmo for the first $1,000 in donations. Unlike other platforms that charge fees ranging from 2.9% to 5%, Venmo allows us to avoid transaction fees and maximize your impact.

To contribute via Venmo, click or use the QR code below. Your support is crucial, and we deeply appreciate your commitment to our mission.

What Comes Next?

Once we surpass our initial $1,000 goal, the remaining proceeds will be strategically allocated to propel us through the subsequent phases of our development. Over the next three years, Arella is set to achieve the following milestones through our Arella Triple Impact Strategy framework:

Seed Stage:

In our initial phase, our efforts will center on broadening the reach of our mentorship program and forging strategic partnerships throughout San Diego County. Our investment will fund the recruitment of a grant writer, part-time staff, and specialized trainers to strengthen our team’s ability to provide impactful mentorship and support. We will also bring on interns to assist with various program components, giving them valuable experience while enhancing our operational efficiency. This groundwork will lay the foundation for the sustainable growth of our innovative mentorship, high-quality programs and services.

Growth Stage:

In this pivotal phase, our primary goal is to develop a groundbreaking mobile app that will play a crucial role in supporting Arella's mission. The app will serve as a vital tool to connect survivors with mentors and essential resources. It will provide a confidential and user-friendly platform for individuals to access support, guidance, and information.

In addition to the app, we are working on establishing a central, accessible location in downtown San Diego for Arella. This new facility will enhance our capacity to deliver our programs and services more effectively.

We are also exploring a potential partnership with Aquillius, a leading biotech and medtech incubator. This collaboration will help drive innovation in developing technologies that further support our mission and enhance protections for survivors.

Expansion Stage:

In the third phase, our primary goal is to use our collective experience to propose new laws or influence policy that supports survivors. We will engage the Arella community and our partners to drive systemic change and ensure the long-term sustainability of our mentorship program. This phase is critical for amplifying Arella’s impact and securing the continued success of our initiatives.

We will collaborate closely with local government leaders to advocate for policy changes that improve sexual assault laws. By leveraging the insights and experiences of the trusted mentors and mentees within our community, we will work together to develop and support effective legislative reforms. Our mentorship program will emphasize that making systemic change requires proactive action, and this dedication to driving change represents one of the most valuable contributions we can make.

To support these efforts, we will enhance our app’s functionality and broaden our outreach to maximize our impact. Additionally, we will adopt a strategic approach to collecting and analyzing data from our app and survivor stories. This data-driven strategy will empower us to advocate for policy changes and shape legislation, fostering significant and lasting improvements for survivors across a wider region.
