EMPOWERING SURVIVORS

CONNECTING THRIVERS

"Empowerment Begins When You Believe In Your Own Strength"

Our Mission

At Arella, we believe in the life-changing impact of giving back. Survivors who have bravely navigated their own healing journeys become beacons of hope and strength for those just beginning theirs.

Our mission is to transform the journey of sexual assault survivors through the power of mentorship, shifting the narrative from silence and isolation to resilience and collective action. We’re not just offering support—we’re building a movement. By uniting a compassionate community and forging partnerships with local organizations, we provide comprehensive support that empowers individuals and drives systemic change.

What truly sets us apart is our unwavering commitment to a positive, solution-oriented approach. We don’t just help survivors heal; we guide them to turn their pain into a catalyst for change. This model not only empowers individuals but also redefines advocacy, leaving a lasting impact on both lives and the broader society.

Join us in revolutionizing the way we support survivors and create meaningful, lasting change.

Mentorship Matters

Survivors often face isolation, self-doubt, and the daunting task of rebuilding their lives. Your support can make all the difference.

A study published in ScienceDirect involving 150 individuals who had experienced sexual assault and had a positive adult mentor found that early mentorship is linked to better socio-emotional well-being. (Prowell & Williams, 2021).

"1 out of every 4 American women has been the victim of an attempted or completed rape in her lifetime."
"1 in 6 American men have experienced an attempted or completed rape in their lifetime"
"The economic cost is approximately $3.1 trillion dollars over the lifetimes of  25 million victims."

Our Program

Our program connects mentors and mentees to foster healing and mutual growth within a supportive community. Survivors find strength, hope, and recovery as they reclaim their lives, guided by those who have walked a similar path.

The program is unique for its engaging and uplifting sessions, including walks, yoga, horseback riding, and improv classes, which promote personal development and solution-oriented conversations. Mentors and mentees commit to a six-month period, meeting at least twice a month.

No special skills are required—just a commitment to inspire others. We provide comprehensive training and ongoing support for both mentors and mentees, ensuring everyone feels confident and supported. Applicants must be 18 years or older.
Individuals will be paired with mentors of the same gender to ensure a supportive and understanding relationship.

Whether you volunteer as a mentor, mentee, mentorship manager, or general volunteer, you have the opportunity to offer new survivors the strength, hope, and encouragement they need. Join us in building a compassionate community where every survivor receives the care they deserve. Your journey of healing can inspire hope and recovery in others. See our Program Page for more information.
