Arella Triple Impact Strategy

At Arella, we are committed to ensuring no survivor faces their journey alone. Our triple impact strategy focuses on building a supportive community, one relationship at a time, to uncover the hidden challenges of sexual assault. Our core strength lies in our mentorship program, which we aim to expand significantly over the next three years. By fostering connections and gathering insights, we will develop innovative tools and systems to enhance support, improve reporting mechanisms, and drive crucial changes in laws and policies. Through this approach, we strive to create a lasting impact that transforms the landscape of survivor support, advocacy and systemic change.

There’s an abundance of data and many organizations addressing these issues—so what sets Arella apart in driving systemic change? The answer is our approach to turning survivors' pain into advocacy through a powerful community. While survivors' stories often become statistics with no further action, Arella aims to transform data from mere numbers into compelling human experiences, shedding light on the aftermath and empowering survivors to advocate for legal reforms and a safer society.

Systemic change happens not only within Arella but also through friends and family who may not have personally experienced sexual assault but recognize the injustice and are motivated to contribute. By building a powerful community and using survivors' stories to unite on policies collectively, we create a community ready to act. This influence extends to securing the support of local leaders to advance our vision of changing laws, enacting policies that support survivors, and imposing harsher punishments for offenders.

Through deep relationships and trust, we ensure that data represents real people and community members. Most importantly, we empower survivors to advocate for themselves with the backing of a dedicated community. Our commitment transforms survivor pain into meaningful action, essential for changing laws and creating a safer, more just society.

Arella is on a mission, and it starts with survivors building trust within themselves and with others to become empowered to address their pain and drive change.

I. Seed Stage: Empowerment Through Mentorship

Objective: Scaling the Mentorship Program. Our first objective is to significantly scale our high-impact mentorship program to foster trust and deliver essential support to survivors. At the heart of our approach, our innovative mentorship program connects survivors with compassionate, knowledgeable mentors who provide critical guidance and resources. By expanding this program, we aim to ensure that every survivor receives the personalized support they need to navigate their path to recovery. Your donation directly contributes to this mission, helping us reach more survivors and strengthen the support network that is crucial for their healing journey.

Actions:
  Outreach and Expansion:

  • Increase Reach: Enhance outreach within San Diego County to connect with more survivors and broaden the program’s impact.

  • Build Partnerships: Strengthen collaborations with local organizations and stakeholders to enhance program visibility and effectiveness.

Resource Allocation:

  • Hiring and Training: Invest in recruiting a grant writer, part-time staff, and specialized trainers to support and scale program delivery.

  • Internship Program: Develop an internship program to assist with operations, providing practical experience while optimizing efficiency.

Program Development:

  • Mentorship Resources: Refine training materials and resources to ensure high-quality mentorship and support.

Investor Metrics:

  • Impact Measurement: Track the increase in the number of survivors receiving mentorship and the expansion of the support network.

  • Operational Effectiveness: Evaluate the efficiency of program delivery and the integration of new hires and interns.

II. Growth Stage: Pioneering Innovative Tools and Systems for Survivor Support

Objective: Leveraging Data and Mobile Technology. In this pivotal phase, we are set to elevate Arella’s impact by scaling our mentorship program and expanding our operations. Our strategic focus includes leveraging data-driven insights and advanced technology to develop a groundbreaking mobile app and other innovative tools. These initiatives are designed to revolutionize support systems, streamline the reporting process, and design impactful policy changes.

Key Initiative: Development of the Arella App
Our dedicated mobile app is central to our strategy, offering seamless access to critical resources and support. This app will foster stronger connections between survivors and mentors, deliver essential information, and create engagement opportunities anytime, anywhere. We will continuously refine the app based on user feedback, ensuring it adapts to the evolving needs of survivors.

  • Addressing Under-Reporting and Enhancing Visibility

    • With sexual assault being one of the most under-reported crimes—63% of assaults are not reported to police (NSVRC)—our app will significantly enhance visibility and access to support. It will provide a structured, supportive pathway for survivors to report assaults and receive necessary assistance throughout the process.

Strategic Partnership with Aquillius
We look forward to establishing a partnership with Aquillius, a leading biotech and medtech incubator. Given that 97.5% of sexual assault cases result in no conviction (FBI), this collaboration will establish a dedicated sector to support survivors and develop innovative technologies to prevent sexual assault and improve protections.

Central Hub for Growth
Our commitment extends to securing a central, accessible location in downtown San Diego for Arella. This space will be dedicated to housing our expanded programs and services, further amplifying our community impact.

Your Investment Impact
Your support will directly fund these critical initiatives, driving our mission forward and creating a more supportive and just environment for survivors. Join us in transforming the landscape of survivor support and advocacy.
